Amarillo Roof Replacement

Background
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking bids for the replacement of the roofing at its office located in Amarillo, Texas. The agency's mission includes ensuring public safety and maintaining operational facilities. The goal of this contract is to provide a fully functional and weather-resistant roof system, which involves the removal of existing roofing and installation of new materials.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary supervision, labor, materials, and equipment required for the roofing project. This includes:

1. Removal of existing roofing materials.
2. Installation of new roofing systems, including insulation, sheet metal components, gutters, sealants, and associated accessories.
3. Ensuring that the new roof system is fully functional and weather-resistant.

The contractor must also develop a comprehensive Project Execution, Phasing, and Continuity of Operations Plan to maintain safe access to occupied buildings during construction.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term will commence on the effective date stated in the signing document or purchase order and will expire one year from that effective date. DPS reserves the right to extend performance for an additional six months if necessary.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Texas Department of Public Safety office located in Amarillo, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must have at least five years of experience providing roofing services in Texas. All personnel must be appropriately licensed or certified. Additionally, contractors must provide evidence of financial stability and submit a complete Subcontracting Plan (SP) demonstrating good faith efforts to include Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) in their proposal.
