Allred Unit Pest Control

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids for pest control services for both interior and exterior areas at the Allred Unit. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective pest management within the facility, adhering to applicable federal and state laws, including constitutional, legal, and court-ordered requirements.

Work Details
The vendor will provide pest control services that include inspection, extermination, and prevention measures on a monthly basis. Specific duties include:

1. Eradicating indoor populations of pests such as rats, mice, bedbugs, cockroaches, fleas, ticks, mealworms, ants, flies, silverfish, centipedes, millipedes, earwigs, spiders, crickets, wasps, moths, and gnats.

2. Addressing incidental invaders from outdoors like bees and hornets.

3. Managing outdoor populations that could pose an infestation risk.

4. Monthly treatments must be effective for at least thirty (30) days after application. The vendor must provide a licensed pesticide applicator and comply with TDCJ policies and safety requirements.

Period of Performance
The service commencement date is September 1, 2025. The contract includes a monthly service schedule with specific tasks outlined for emergency calls and quarterly treatments.

Allred Unit located in Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate compliance with TDCJ’s policies and provide a Service Technician who holds a Commercial Applicators License. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan (HSP) if subcontracting opportunities are anticipated.
