Airport Worker Screening

Background
The City of Austin is seeking to establish a contract for security screening services at the airport. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all employees, vendors, and contractors entering the secure area of the airport are properly screened to maintain safety and security standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive security screening services for individuals entering the secure areas of the airport. This includes but is not limited to: conducting background checks, utilizing screening equipment, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations regarding airport security, and providing trained personnel to perform screenings efficiently.

The contractor must be prepared to adapt to varying volumes of personnel requiring screening as specified by the City.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will continue until all obligations are fulfilled. The City reserves the right to extend the contract beyond its initial term at its discretion, provided that notice is given 30 days prior to expiration.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the City of Austin's airport facilities, specifically in designated secure areas where employees, vendors, and contractors require access.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding security screening. Additionally, if a Minority-Owned Business Enterprise/Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) Program Compliance Plan is required by the solicitation, bidders must submit a compliance report upon completion of work.

Contractors must also provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the contract.
