Description

Background
The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Board requires Airfield Marking Services to ensure the safety and operational efficiency of the airport. The goal of this contract is to maintain and enhance the visibility of airfield markings, which are crucial for guiding aircraft on runways, taxiways, and aprons. This contract will be executed in accordance with Texas Local Government Code Title 8, Subtitle A, Chapter 252.

Work Details
The Airfield Marking Services shall include:

1. Pavement surface preparation and markings removal;
2. Rubber removal as part of marking services;
3. Painting all markings on the surfaces of runways, taxiways, and aprons;
4. Application of preformed thermoplastic markings;
5. Disposal of any solid or liquid waste generated during the work.

The contractor will repaint approximately 20% of airfield markings each year, covering an estimated area of about 3 million square feet. Specific services include:
- Pavement marking removal and surface preparation
- Rubber removal as needed
- Painting
- Preformed thermoplastic installation
- Waste disposal.

Compliance with specifications for pavement marking materials will be determined through laboratory analysis.

Period of Performance
The contract term is for a three-year period.
