Background
The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is soliciting proposals for AI Consulting Services through its Cooperative Purchasing Program (HGACBuy). This program allows H-GAC to provide cooperative contract products and services to local governments in Texas and other states. The goal of this solicitation is to select qualified service providers that can offer AI consulting services to H-GAC customers, enabling them to integrate AI into their processes effectively.
Work Details
The selected contractors will provide a range of AI consulting services, including but not limited to ongoing managed services supporting AI and Business Intelligence (BI) enhancement, maintenance, and strategic evolution. Specific services include:
- System Design: Integrate and manage data sources and pipelines.
- Data Modeling & Semantic Layer Design: Update models to support evolving business needs.
- Dashboard Development & Optimization: Create and improve dashboards for enhanced usability.
- Platform Administration: Oversee upgrades and maintenance.
- Performance & Cost Optimization: Tune queries and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to data governance standards.
- Backlog Management: Triage enhancements based on business requests.
- Managed Services Reporting: Provide monthly reports on activities and SLA compliance.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Conduct workshops for internal staff as needed.
Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for four (4) years from the date of award, with an option for one (1) additional year at H-GAC's discretion.
Place of Performance
Services will be provided primarily in Texas but may extend nationwide as required by H-GAC customers.
Bidder Requirements
Respondents must comply with all licensing, permitting, registration, or other applicable legal requirements. They must also demonstrate a commitment to utilizing small and minority businesses, women's business enterprises, veteran-owned businesses, and labor surplus area firms when possible. Additionally, contractors are required to submit a 2% administrative fee based on the total purchase order amount.
