Additional Professional Services for District Construction Projects

Background
Galena Park Independent School District (GPISD) is seeking statements of qualifications from highly qualified design firms for RFQ 26-013. This RFQ focuses on additional professional services for district construction projects, specifically looking for professionals in various construction-related disciplines as permitted by Texas Government Code Sections 2254.002 and 2269.058. The goal of this contract is to provide testing and verification services for various facilities projects, including those related to the 2024 Bond Program. Notably, the services requested do not include general architecture or engineering services.

The professional services sought under this RFQ include:
- Indoor Air Quality Consulting (asbestos, mold, lead, and other hazardous remediation and abatement)
- Professional Land Surveyors
- Traffic Engineering
- Geotechnical Engineering and Testing
- Materials Testing
- Building Commissioning
- Construction Inspection
- Landscape Architecture
- Roof Consulting
- Acoustical Consulting
- Kitchen Consulting
- Technology and IT Consulting.

The District will review submitted qualifications and create a pool of qualified firms in each service category, retaining the right to include as many firms as necessary to meet its needs.

Period of Performance
The term of this RFQ will be the longer of five years or until the completion of the last project within the anticipated bond program. The District may extend the term for one or more firms beyond this period if necessary to meet capital needs.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at various locations within the Galena Park Independent School District, specifically related to facilities projects associated with the 2024 Bond Program.

Bidder Requirements
Firms must submit three hard copies of their qualifications package along with a USB drive. They must also provide a letter of interest, a submission checklist, and detailed information about their firm’s profile, experience, personnel, quality assurance measures, and references. Additionally, firms must comply with all submission requirements outlined in the RFQ.
