ABIA Access Control Point Gate Replacements with Openers and Controls

Background
The Texas Military Department is seeking competitive bids from highly qualified contractors to replace two access control point gates with openers and controls at the Austin Bergstrom International Airport Armed Forces Reserve Center, located at 5102 Emma Browning Ave., Austin TX 78719. This project aims to enhance security measures at the facility.

Work Details
Contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, delivery, transportation, and installation necessary to complete the replacement of two access control point gates. The specific tasks include:

1. Inbound Gate Replacement:
- Remove and replace one inbound Hy-Security SlideDriver™ or an approved equivalent.
- Install a SlideDriver™ opener or an approved equivalent; ensure it matches the outbound gate model.
- Input 208 Volts Alternating Current (VAC) with a pulling force of 300 lbs.
- Replace one linear keypad with a linear access AK-11 digital keyless entry system or approved equal, ensuring proper programming for emergency responders.
- Replace three manual push buttons inside building 9510 for gate operation (open, close, stop). Inspect and repair control wires as needed.

2. Outbound Gate Replacement:
- Similar tasks as inbound gate replacement including removal and installation of an outbound Hy-Security SlideDriver™ or equivalent.

3. Additional Requirements:
- Replace three loop detectors and five loops (four safety loops and one additional safety loop).
- Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure all components are operational including setting open parameters and testing safety loops.

Period of Performance
The contractor must complete all services within 30 days from the start date.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must have a minimum of three years of commercial experience in access control gate repair and replacement services and be an authorized Hy-Security SlideDriver™ provider. They must also possess a valid Texas licensed security agent/technician and provide all applicable licenses, insurance, and permits if awarded the job.
