Description
Background
The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) is a leading research university that supports over 52,000 students and 15,000 staff.
The University Marketing and Communications (UMAC) team is seeking proposals from qualified digital agencies to redesign, consolidate, and enhance its core websites within the university's WordPress environment.
The goal is to deliver a modern, accessible, and scalable digital experience that reflects the university's brand and meets the needs of various campus audiences.
Work Details
The selected agency will provide services including:
1. Discovery Phase: Conduct focus groups and workshops with stakeholders to identify functional requirements and user needs. Deliverables include a discovery summary, stakeholder documentation, and a web design brief.
2. Design Phase: Create a reusable design system for UT Austin websites, including homepage designs, navigation layouts, buttons, CTAs, and visual components. Deliverables include design layouts for primary pages, navigation designs, brand recommendations, and a fully developed design specification.
3. Development Phase: Collaborate with UT Austin’s web development team to migrate approximately 500 pages from existing WordPress and Drupal sites into a new theme on Pantheon. This includes content migration and editing or rewriting content for SEO and accessibility best practices. The admissions website will also be migrated but launched separately due to timing constraints.
Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to last up to two years with an option for one additional year.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed primarily at the University of Texas at Austin campus or remotely as agreed upon.
Bidder Requirements
Respondents must submit a VetHUB Subcontracting Plan if subcontracting opportunities are probable. The proposal must demonstrate experience in managing complex digital design projects in higher education or similar sectors.
