2024 Facilities - Emergency and Lift Station - IDIQ

Background
The City of Austin, through its Austin Water Facility Engineering Division, is issuing a contract for emergency and lift station services as part of the 2024 Facilities - Emergency and Lift Station IDIQ project.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the water and wastewater distribution systems, enhancing their reliability and performance.

Work Details
The work includes:
1. Emergency On Call Response: Providing on-call emergency response services to repair or replace components of the distribution system due to failure or breakage.
2. Rehabilitation of existing lift station facilities.
3. Operations Support: Assisting City of Austin Operations Staff with tasks such as exposing existing force mains or appurtenances that City crews are unable to perform.
4. Specific construction activities may include demolishing, removing, replacing, and disposing of various water and wastewater system components to improve performance, expand capacity, or extend useful life.
5. Installation and operation of by-pass pumping equipment to maintain sewage flow and prevent backups or overflows.
6. Dewatering excavation as necessary, with methods submitted for approval prior to construction.
7. Repairing sidewalks and driveways within 24 hours post-wastewater work installation.
8. Construction of elevated platforms, electrical enclosures, submersible pumps, safety eyewash stations, standby generator foundations, and various other components as detailed in the specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period starting from January 3, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the geographic limits of the City of Austin.
