10108 FM812 Leachate Connections

Background
The City of Austin, through its Austin Resource Recovery department, is seeking bids for the FM 812 Landfill Leachate Tank Connection project. The project aims to connect two leachate storage tanks to the City’s sanitary sewer manhole located on the Owner’s property. This initiative is part of the City's commitment to managing landfill operations effectively and ensuring environmental compliance.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes:
- Connecting leachate tank A to leachate tank B.
- Connecting leachate tank B to a manhole on site.
- Installing pumps and water meters.
- Installing a dual-contained high-density polyethylene (HDPE) above-ground and ground pipeline.
- Providing pipe restraints and supports, ground PVC pipe with a connection to the city manhole, fittings, valves, sensors, meters, pumps, control panels/cellular telemetry, and improvements to existing storage tanks.
- Conducting underground road crossings and other appurtenances as necessary.

Period of Performance
The contract work shall be substantially completed within 150 calendar days after the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Final completion must be achieved within 30 calendar days after substantial completion.

The project will take place at 10108 FM 812, Austin, Texas 78719.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the City of Austin prior to contract award. All subcontractors must also be registered with the City before execution of a contract. Bidders are required to submit an MBE/WBE or DBE Compliance Plan electronically via Austin Finance Online prior to the bid submission deadline.
