Tree Trimming and Removal Services

Background
The City of Bartlett is seeking proposals from qualified companies or professionals to provide tree trimming and removal services. This service will be utilized on an 'as needed' or emergency basis for various departments, including Code Enforcement, Parks and Recreation, and Public Works, at multiple locations throughout the city. The goal is to ensure safe and effective management of trees within the city limits.

Work Details
The contractor will provide tree trimming, removal of trees, and stump removal services as specified in the RFP. The services include:

1. Trimming trees to achieve a balanced appearance.
2. Crown restoration by selecting permanent branches for natural growth.
3. Drop-crotch pruning to reduce limb weight without leaving stubs.
4. Removal of dead limbs that may pose safety hazards.
5. Complete removal of trees and stumps down to 6 inches below ground level, including the removal of exposed roots up to 6 feet from the stump base.
6. Clean-up of all debris resulting from the work performed.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term will begin immediately upon execution and will run through June 30, 2026, with options for three additional one-year renewals through June 30, 2029, contingent on mutual agreement and satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout the City of Bartlett, Tennessee.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least five years of experience in tree services or as a certified arborist. They must possess all necessary licenses and certifications required in Tennessee, have sufficient skilled staff and equipment for the services required, provide proof of current insurance coverage, and comply with equal employment opportunity laws.
