Tree Care Services

Background
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, through its Department of General Services (DGS), is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide comprehensive Tree Care Services for all METRO Departments. The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and care of trees within the jurisdiction, enhancing public safety and environmental quality.

This solicitation aims to establish an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, allowing for flexible procurement based on METRO's needs.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a range of tree care services including:
- Tree Removal and Stump Grinding
- Tree Removal Only
- Stump Grinding Only
- Tree Trimming
- Tree Protection Fencing
- Tree Planting
- Root Pruning and Excavation
- Cabling and Bracing
- Fertilization and Chemical Application
- Other related services as directed by METRO Departments.

Specific requirements include:
- Equipment ownership such as a two-ton truck with storage bins for chips, disc or drum chippers with a minimum capacity of 12 inches, aerial lifts with working heights of 60 and 75 feet, and various tree service tools.
- Compliance with ANSI standards for all work performed.
- Emergency response capability to remove trees posing immediate threats within two hours.
- Payment based on verified work performed per Diameter at Breast Height (DBH) for tree removal and stump grinding services.
- Adherence to safety regulations including traffic control measures during operations.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award with no specified end date; it operates on an as-needed basis via purchase orders issued by METRO.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Nashville, TN as designated by METRO.
