Background
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro) is seeking proposals for Translation and Interpreter Services to support various Metro Departments and Agencies on an as-needed basis. This initiative aims to enhance communication accessibility for individuals with limited English proficiency, particularly in emergency and non-emergency situations. The services will be utilized by key agencies including E911, Public Health, Fire, Police, Public Works, Water Services, Codes, and Metro Courts.

Work Details
The contract encompasses the following services:

1. Telephonic Interpretation Services: Providing over-the-phone interpreters available 24/7 for diverse languages.

2. In-person/On-site Interpretation: Offering interpreters for face-to-face interactions as required by various departments.

3. Written/Document Translation Services: Translating documents accurately within specified timeframes.

4. Multilingual Closed Captioning Services: Delivering live and post-production captioning for events and media in multiple languages.

All services must comply with relevant regulations including HIPAA for healthcare-related communications. Vendors are required to maintain confidentiality and provide competent interpreters who are U.S. citizens or legal residents.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective upon award and will remain in effect until terminated or replaced by a new contract. Specific performance timelines will be determined based on individual service requests made through Purchase Orders.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily within the Nashville metropolitan area, with potential remote services provided as needed.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the following requirements:

- Provide a Certificate of Insurance within seven days of receiving an intent to award letter.
- Maintain necessary licenses and registrations to operate in Tennessee.
- Ensure that all subcontractors are registered in the iSupplier system prior to the solicitation deadline.
