Sequoyah High School Building A - Reroofing

Background
Hamilton County Schools (HCS) is seeking to contract with a qualified and experienced vendor to provide re-roofing services for Building A at Sequoyah High School. The goal of this contract is to ensure the integrity and functionality of the school's roofing system, which is essential for maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Removal of the existing adhered EPDM roof system down to the tectum deck.

2. Installation of a new wind-vented EPDM roof system along with associated insulation, flashings, copings, edge securement, accessories, and appurtenances.

The detailed responsibilities and specifications are outlined in the Project Manual/Specifications provided as part of the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to begin on July 17, 2025, or soon thereafter. The construction term will last for 210 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed or Purchase Order date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Sequoyah High School located at 9517 W Ridge Trail Rd, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a Bid Bond amounting to 5% of the proposed dollar amount with their bid. For projects totaling $100,000 or more, a Performance & Payment Bond for 100% of the project total is required from an authorized surety company in Tennessee. Additionally, bidders must comply with drug-free workplace requirements if they have five or more employees.
