Renewable Natural Gas Project

Background
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro) is seeking proposals for a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Project.
Metro Water Services (MWS) provides drinking water and waste services to over 700,000 residents across 402 square miles.
The project aims to design, finance, construct, own, operate, maintain, and manage a new biogas to RNG facility for pipeline injection.
This initiative aligns with Metro's sustainability goals and is part of a broader effort to enhance waste management and renewable energy production.

Work Details
The selected RNG company will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Design, finance, construct, own, operate, maintain, and manage the RNG facility.
- The facility will process biogas from the Central Biosolids Facility located at 1810 Cement Plant Road, Nashville, TN.
- MWS will lease approximately 25,000 square feet of land for the RNG Facility which includes a Biogas Conditioning Facility and an RNG Interconnection Facility.
- The RNG Facility must process up to 1,750 CFM of biogas with a minimum conversion efficiency of 95%.
- The facility will continuously receive and inject conforming biogas into a nearby natural gas pipeline owned by Piedmont Natural Gas.
- The RNG Company must acquire all necessary permits for construction and operation.
- The project includes provisions for royalty payments based on net proceeds from the sale of RNG and environmental credits generated by the project.

Period of Performance
The contract term will be twenty (20) years from the projected commissioning date of the RNG Facility.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Central Biosolids Facility located at 1810 Cement Plant Road, Nashville, TN.
