Description

Sealed proposals for Property and Liability Insurance will be received at the office of the City of Mt. Juliet Finance Department at 2425 N. Mt. Juliet Rd, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee 37122, Attention: Dana Hire, on or before 10:00 AM on September 11, 2025 and immediately thereafter all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Background
The City of Mt. Juliet, TN, located in the Nashville metropolitan area, is one of the fastest-growing cities in Tennessee with a population of 40,430 as per the 2024 Special Census. The city is governed by four elected commissioners and an elected mayor, with a City Manager overseeing administrative functions. The city provides various services including public safety, building inspection, public works, and parks and recreation.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to secure Property and Liability Insurance Coverage for the city.

Work Details
The City of Mt. Juliet requests proposals for property and liability insurance coverage that is similar to its current coverage with Public Entity Partners (PEP). Proposals must highlight any major differences that would exclude coverage of losses currently covered under the existing policy. Interested parties can access the current Property and Liability coverage details on the city website and obtain a copy of the most recent loss runs associated with this coverage.

Proposals will be accepted directly from insurance carriers or through an insurance agency.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and will continue until all obligations are fulfilled as per the terms outlined in the contract.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the City of Mt. Juliet Finance Department located at 2425 N. Mt. Juliet Rd, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee 37122.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide two paper copies of their bid, signed by an authorized representative. They are required to show evidence of their license, including expiration date and classification if applicable. Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including insurance requirements such as general liability and workers' compensation.

Additionally, bidders must not be on the list created pursuant to ยง12-12-106 regarding Iran sanctions nor engage in a boycott of Israel if their proposal exceeds $250k.
