Background
The Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) is the 42nd largest urban school district in the United States, serving a diverse student population from over 112 countries. The district encompasses approximately 525 square miles and includes more than 160 schools. MNPS is seeking proposals for a qualified contractor to provide online textbooks and resources specifically for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and the IB Career-Related Programme. This initiative aims to enhance educational resources available to students and teachers within these programs.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for developing and providing comprehensive digital learning resources, including:
A. Digital Textbooks: Full digital versions of textbooks for all core subjects in IB DP and CP courses, aligned with the current IB curriculum framework.
B. Supplementary Learning Materials: Lesson summaries, glossaries, visual aids, Internal Assessment resources, and guidance materials for both DP and CP courses.
C. Practice Tests and Assessments: Topic-wise quizzes, full-length mock exams, automated feedback systems, customizable test templates for teachers, and student-facing IA resources.
D. Teacher Support Resources: Digital guides with lesson plans, assessment rubrics aligned with IB criteria, and professional development modules.
E. Student Support Resources: Guidance on platform usage and content-specific support.
F. Platform Requirements: A user-friendly interface with multi-language support, secure login options, analytics dashboards for tracking progress, and offline access capabilities.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue through a multi-year term as specified in the final agreement.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed primarily online but must be accessible to users within the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools district located in Nashville, TN.
Bidder Requirements
Offerors must comply with MNPS's procurement policies including providing a Certificate of Insurance prior to contract execution. Required insurance includes General Liability Insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence, Automobile Liability Insurance if applicable, Workers' Compensation Insurance as per Tennessee law, and Cyber/Privacy Insurance based on the number of schools covered.
