Background
The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) is seeking Statements of Qualifications from engineering firms with extensive experience in providing comprehensive professional services at Nashville International Airport (BNA) and John C. Tune Airport (JWN). This initiative is part of MNAA's ongoing efforts to execute a Capital Improvement Plan for both airports, which are undergoing significant expansion and redevelopment. The goal is to address the increasing need for on-call engineering services to support these projects and other engineering needs as they arise.
Work Details
The selected firms will provide a range of professional engineering services related to airport design, including but not limited to: site utilities, grading, drainage, landscaping, airfield pavement design, bridge design, parking structure design, cost estimating, construction scheduling, airport planning, environmental documentation/permitting, baggage handling systems, wayfinding, parking lots and roadways.
The anticipated projects for FY2027-2029 include rehabilitation and reconstruction of runways and taxiways, terminal apron reconstruction, cargo apron reconstruction phases, airfield vehicular perimeter road rehabilitation/reconstruction, and airfield pavement condition index studies. The selected consultants may also serve as owner’s representatives or project managers as needed.
Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of three years with an annual budget not exceeding $5 million. The contract term will commence on March 1, 2026.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Nashville International Airport (BNA) and John C. Tune Airport (JWN), located in Nashville, Tennessee.
Bidder Requirements
Respondents must be qualified engineering firms licensed by the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners. Additionally, the prime consultant cannot participate in any other contracts at BNA or JWN during the contract term.
