Background
The City of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, located in the Nashville metropolitan area, is one of the fastest growing cities in the state with a population exceeding 39,000 as per the 2022 National Census. The city is governed by an elected mayor and four commissioners, with a City Manager overseeing administrative functions. The Department of Public Works is responsible for various city services including public safety and infrastructure improvements.

Work Details
The project involves the construction of the Old Lebanon Dirt Road Sewer Extension and Golden Bear Gateway Improvements Utility Relocation. Key components include:

- Furnishing, installing, and testing approximately 1,730 linear feet of 15-inch and 18-inch PVC gravity sewer main.
- Installation of 4-foot diameter concrete manholes and a concrete 'doghouse' manhole.
- Removal of existing manholes.
- Installation of approximately 2,560 linear feet of 2-inch CL 200 PVC pressure sewer.
- Relocation of approximately 1,460 linear feet of 2-inch, 3-inch, and 4-inch CL 200 PVC pressure sewer including valves and cleanout assemblies.
- Unclassified excavation and sediment/erosion control procedures.
- Backfill operations and handling wastewater flows for tie-in to existing sewers and manholes.
- Testing and reconnections/tie-ins for sewer services.
- Surface and property restoration including pavement restoration.
- An additive alternate for relocating approximately 4,995 linear feet of 4-inch CL 200 PVC force main including air release valve assembly.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to be completed by June 5, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit two paper copies of their bid in a sealed envelope marked with the project name and due date. Bidders are required to show evidence of licensing where applicable and must comply with all laws affecting cost, progress, and performance of the work including Build America Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements.
