Nurse Aide Testing

Background
The State of Tennessee, Health Facilities Commission, issues this Request for Proposals (RFP) to define minimum contract requirements; solicit responses; detail response requirements; and, outline the State’s process for evaluating responses and selecting a contractor to provide the needed goods or services. The State seeks to procure necessary goods or services at the most favorable, competitive prices and to give ALL qualified respondents an opportunity to do business with the state as contractors, subcontractors or suppliers.

Work Details
The purpose of this RFP is to secure services for the development and administration of a statewide competency evaluation for the certification and recertification of nurse aides. Evaluation must consist of one hundred (100) proprietary questions randomized from a sufficiently large question bank, and an in-person practical skill demonstration.
The State Nurse Aide Registry lists more than forty thousand, and forty-Two (40,042) active nurse aides.
The State estimates a total volume of eight thousand eighty-two (8,082) competency evaluations per year over the sixty (60) month term.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a sixty (60) month term.
