Background
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro) is seeking to contract with an integrated services partner to provide Mobile Data Computer Integrated Services. This initiative aims to support the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) in enhancing their operational capabilities, as they respond to approximately 1.1 million calls-for-service annually.
The goal is to ensure reliable in-car communication systems for law enforcement vehicles, which are critical for daily operations.
Work Details
The contractor will provide Mobile Data Computers (MDC), Sierra Wireless in-Car Routers, mounting systems, wiring harnesses, and ancillary equipment such as car antennas, thermal printers, and fuse boxes.
The services include technical support, engineering services, product consulting, training, and maintenance. The MDCs must have functionalities like signature capture and extended warranties for five years.
The contractor will also be responsible for onsite outfitting of new law enforcement vehicles and training MNPD personnel on the use of the MDC system.
Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for a period of up to sixty (60) months from the award date.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various MNPD facilities located in Davidson County, Tennessee.
Bidder Requirements
Offerors must provide a Certificate of Insurance within seven days of receiving an intent to award letter. They must comply with insurance requirements including Products Liability Insurance, General Liability Insurance, Automobile Liability Insurance, and Worker's Compensation Insurance.
Additionally, all subcontractors must be registered in the iSupplier system prior to the solicitation deadline.
