LED School Signs

Background
The Rutherford County Board of Education (RCBOE) is seeking bids for the purchase and installation of illuminated LED signs for various schools within Rutherford County.

The goal of this contract is to enhance communication and visibility at these educational institutions through modern signage.

Work Details
The contractor will supply and install one double-sided illuminated sign with an LED message center at each specified school.

Each sign will have the following specifications:
- Overall dimensions of 4’ x 8’
- Cabinet size of 2’ x 8’
- LED message center measuring 2’ x 8’
- Cabinet color: black
- LED message center: full color with a pixel pitch of 13mm.

The installation includes a cell modem with lifetime data, all necessary software, training, removable retainers for future servicing, pole mounting with a skirt at 4’ above grade, and demo/disposal of existing signs. Foundation work will be required as directed, and the school logo will be provided by RCS.

The contractor must ensure that all materials needed for complete installation are included in the bid price, as well as yearly service fees for the sign. Specific locations include Cedar Grove Elementary, Rock Springs Elementary, Rock Springs Middle, Rockvale Middle, Roy Waldron Elementary, and Stewartsboro Elementary School. Each site may have unique requirements regarding existing foundations and sign placements.
