ITQ 2024-48 Bulk Ryegrass Seed and Application

Background
The City of Johnson City, Tennessee, is seeking quotes for the procurement of bulk ryegrass seed and its application as part of its Parks and Recreation Department's efforts to maintain athletic fields. The goal of this contract is to ensure the provision of high-quality ryegrass seed that meets specific performance standards suitable for the local climate and soil conditions.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a total of 12,000 lbs of bulk quality ryegrass seed and 5,000 lbs in 50 lb bags. The ryegrass seed must be a quality 3-way blend meeting NTEP performance standards for Tennessee. Additionally, the contractor must provide documentation including overall NTEP ratings for grass varieties from specified locations (Lexington KY, Blacksburg VA, Columbia MO) and certifiable quality documentation.

The application process requires specialized equipment with flotation tires to minimize soil compaction, GPS mapping for precise application rates, and a remote control crane for safe loading. Delivery locations include various parks and schools within Johnson City.
