Itb 25-026 Utility Patching On-Call

Background
The City of Bristol, Tennessee is soliciting bids for on-call utility patching services, which includes asphalt patching operations and concrete work on city streets and sidewalks. The goal of this contract is to maintain and repair the infrastructure within the city limits. The contract will be awarded based on the bids received by the Purchasing Department, focusing on providing quality service to meet the city's needs.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary equipment, labor, tools, transportation, and supervision for asphalt patching and concrete work as needed. Specific tasks include:

1. **Mineral Aggregate Base**: Furnishing and placing one or more courses of Type A Grade D aggregates on a prepared subgrade.

2. **Asphalt Surface Repair**: Removing deteriorated pavement, disposing of unsuitable materials, cleaning areas, applying tack coat as required, and repairing with appropriate asphalt mixes designated by the City Engineer.

3. **Cold Planing Services**: Performing cold planing (milling) as directed by the City Engineer, including cleanup and disposal of milling debris.

4. **Concrete Sidewalk Replacement**: Repairing or replacing sidewalks including removal of existing sidewalks and installation to city standards.

5. **Portland Cement Concrete Pavement Repair**: Constructing pavement with or without reinforcement according to city standards.

6. **Traffic Control**: Providing necessary traffic control measures in compliance with MUTCD standards during all operations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a period of one year, estimated to start in July 2025 and end in June 2026.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed within the City of Bristol, Tennessee.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid security of 5% of the bid amount with their proposal. Successful vendors must furnish approved performance and payment bonds at 100% of the bid amount and comply with insurance requirements including general liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence and worker's compensation insurance.
