Itb 25-019 Paint And Pavement Markings

Background
The City of Bristol, Tennessee, is seeking bids for the application of paint and pavement markings as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance road safety and traffic management. The goal of this contract is to refresh existing pavement markings and install new ones in compliance with federal and state standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Refresh skip and dotted lane lines with fast-drying 4-inch white traffic paint over existing markings.
- Refresh double lane lines with fast-drying 4-inch yellow traffic paint over existing markings.
- Refresh existing turn arrows, fish hook arrows, combination arrows, yield line 'sharks teeth', crosswalk lines ('piano keys'), stop lines, and various lane lines using hot-melt thermoplastic.
- Provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and traffic control devices (cones, flaggers) to ensure compliance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
- Dispose of waste products according to applicable laws.
- Report daily to the City regarding installed pavement markings by specifying the date and location.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue until May 30, 2025.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Certificate of Insurance listing the City of Bristol as an additional insured. They must also comply with Tennessee's worker's compensation insurance laws and maintain specified minimum coverage limits for general liability and automobile liability. Bidders are encouraged to be certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises.
