Background
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro) is seeking qualified contractors to provide Infrared Asphalt Repair services. The goal of this contract is to extend the life of Metro roadways through effective asphalt surface repairs using infrared heating technology. This solicitation is part of Metro's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve transportation infrastructure.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the following services:
- Infrared Roadway Repairs
- Uniformed Police Officers for traffic control
- Traffic Control measures
- Pavement Markings
- Payment of Metro Required Permit Fees
All work must comply with the attached General Notes, Metro Off Duty Police Uniform Policy, Special Provisions SP407HRA, Specifications, and additional solicitation requirements. The contractor will also be reimbursed for any Right-of-Way Permit Fees incurred during the performance of work under this contract.
Place of Performance
Work will be performed at various locations throughout Nashville, TN as designated by Metro.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all provisions of the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976 of the State of Tennessee. A Payment and Performance Bond is required for contracts exceeding $100,000. Additionally, contractors must have a drug-free workplace program in compliance with Tennessee law. The solicitation includes specific M/WBE participation goals: 6% for Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and 14% for Women Business Enterprises (WBE). All subcontractors must be registered in iSupplier prior to the solicitation deadline.
