Background

The district is responsible for providing educational services across Nashville and Davidson County. This solicitation aims to secure a qualified contractor for HVAC renovations at Hickman Elementary School, enhancing the school's infrastructure to better serve its students and staff.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for performing HVAC renovations at Hickman Elementary School. Detailed specifications and drawings are provided in Attachments A (Project Description) and B (Project Manual). The contractor must submit a completed Bid Form, Bid Bond, Power of Attorney, Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Drug Free Workplace Affidavit, and Ethical Standards Affidavit to be considered responsive. The overall project total should include base costs plus contingencies as specified in Attachment C.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to follow the timeline outlined in the solicitation. Specific dates for submission and completion will be confirmed during the bidding process.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Hickman Elementary School located at 112 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville, TN 37214.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all licensing requirements as per Tennessee law. The prime contractor must be licensed if the project exceeds $25,000. Additionally, contractors must provide proof of insurance including:
- General Liability Insurance ($1 million)
- Automobile Liability Insurance ($1 million)
- Workers' Compensation Insurance with statutory limits
- Builders' Risk Insurance. Bidders are encouraged to use small or service-disabled veteran-owned subcontractors where applicable.
