Custodial Supplies

Background
The Rutherford County Board of Education (RCBOE) is seeking bids for custodial supplies and equipment to support its school system and Rutherford County Government Offices. The goal is to procure necessary materials that meet specific quality and safety standards, particularly in light of COVID-19 requirements.

Work Details
The contract includes the provision of various custodial supplies such as cleaners, disinfectants, paper products, mops, brooms, gloves, and other janitorial equipment. Specific items include:
- Cleaners and disinfectants must be EPA and CDC approved for COVID-19.
- All products must have labeling with net weight, directions for use, chemical analysis, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Items must be delivered bi-monthly to any school or facility within the system.
- The bid includes a wide range of products such as carpet extraction fluids, disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizers, floor care materials, paper towels, toilet tissue, and various cleaning tools.
- Bidders must provide samples for any substituted items highlighted in yellow in the bid documents.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of Board approval with the possibility of extension for an additional twelve (12) months upon mutual agreement. The total contract term shall not exceed sixty (60) months.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to schools and facilities within Rutherford County.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with several requirements including:
- Submission of a completed IRS Form W-9 or social security number before payment can be processed.
- A criminal history records check for all employees who will have contact with students.
- Compliance with drug-free workplace laws if employing five or more individuals.
- Bidders must not be debarred or suspended from federal assistance programs. Additionally, they must agree to non-discrimination policies in employment practices.
