Montgomery County, Tennessee, an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer, is seeking to retain a professional engineering consulting firm for a roadway project. The goal is to provide survey updates on landowners related to existing design plans, right-of-way (ROW) acquisition services, and utility coordination for the new roadway construction of an extension of SR-374 in Clarksville, Tennessee. This project is partially funded by Federal High Priority Program (HPP) funds and Federal/State STP-S funds.
Work Details
The contract includes the following responsibilities:
- Review and update property owner information for approximately 56 tracts within the ROW plans.
- Hold a ROW Public Input meeting if required by TDOT.
- Verify utilities along the roadway.
- Update any roadway and topographic features that may have changed since the last survey in 2022.
- Review 2022 geotechnical investigations and supplement as needed for bridge design or site changes.
- Coordinate with TDOT/FHWA for any necessary NEPA re-evaluations.
- Acquire ROW as necessary and coordinate with appraisers and landowners; ROW closings will be managed by Montgomery County through a contracted attorney.
- Submit utility relocation plans for TDOT approval.
- Develop bridge plans and cost estimates for the structure over SR-76.
- Prepare bidding and construction documents in compliance with TDOT guidelines.
- Provide itemized estimates of probable construction costs using TDOT item numbers, project specifications, and bid documents.
- Assist in evaluating bids and recommending contract awards as requested by TDOT.
