Building Energy Modeling Services

Background
The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide building energy modeling services. This initiative aims to support new building construction and renovation projects, as well as analyses on existing buildings. The goal is to ensure that these projects meet sustainability standards, particularly LEED certification at the Gold level or higher, in alignment with Metro's commitment to sustainability.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for developing iterative building energy models for various construction and renovation projects. Key tasks include:

- Creating models to determine energy performance, estimated costs, and greenhouse gas emissions of building designs.
- Collaborating with project teams to implement design decisions into the energy model.
- Working closely with LEED Facilitators to achieve performance goals for LEED certification.
- Developing multiple versions of the energy model for comparing alternative systems such as HVAC and solar PV.
- Ensuring compliance with the International Energy Conservation Code.
- Providing outputs that include monthly and annual energy consumption, costs, and GHG emissions, along with recommendations for energy conservation measures.

Period of Performance
The contract will be established for a period of five (5) years, with no guaranteed minimum or maximum purchase amounts. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis via Purchase Order.

Place of Performance
The services will primarily be performed at various Metro site locations within Nashville, Tennessee.
