Work Details
The contractor will provide benefit consulting services that include:
1. **Benefit Plan Support**:
- Attend monthly meetings of the Insurance Trust and assist with agenda development, notices, and minutes.
- Assist with annual budget development for the Insurance Trust, including obtaining renewal rates from carriers.
- Provide experience reports, proactive information on legislation affecting programs, and recommendations for new coverages.
- Evaluate financial arrangements and assist with vendor contract negotiations.
- Compare MNPS plans to national health plans and provide regular reports.
2. **Benefit Communications**:
- Work with MNPS staff to develop an annual strategic communications plan.
- Design and deliver wellness communications including enrollment materials for employees and retirees, recruitment materials, health event marketing, and maintain the MNPS benefits website.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2026, with a performance period of five years.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various MNPS locations in Nashville, TN.
Bidder Requirements
Offerors must comply with MNPS's insurance requirements which include general liability insurance of $1 million, automobile liability insurance if applicable, professional liability insurance of $1 million, and workers' compensation insurance as per Tennessee law. Additionally, contractors must enroll in the ERC credentialing program if awarded a contract exceeding $100,000.
