Background
The State of Tennessee, Department of Treasury is seeking information related to available products that compile and store information related to alternative investments. The ideal product would provide customer relationship management, document management, reporting, and portfolio management functions. The Department would use the product as an investment book of record or portfolio management system for alternative assets including private equity funds, co-investments, real estate funds, direct real estate investments, private debt funds, other alternative credit funds, separate accounts, and hedge fund vehicles.
The Department currently has about 300 alternative investment positions with a total NAV of approximately $23.5 billion.
Work Details
The State is requesting information from interested parties regarding their company and experience providing services/products to clients with a comparable number of alternative investment positions and total NAV as the Department. Additionally, the State is seeking detailed descriptions of the capabilities and functionality of the platform being offered by respondents. This includes data entry services, integration with third party data providers, search functions for files and activities, ability to input operational data, cash flow forecasting capabilities, tracking investment opportunities pipeline, tracking fund and portfolio company data, workflow processes tracking, monitoring activities tracking, document retrieval and categorization capabilities, exposure tracking by strategy and geography, reconciliation of management fees and carried interest, CRM capabilities with file repository integration and Microsoft Office integration among other functionalities.
The State also requests information on the platform's reporting capabilities including automated recurring reports, ad hoc reports on portfolio holdings and GIPS-compliant performance reporting. Additionally, respondents are asked to describe the platform's cloud-based or remote accessibility, security measures for servers located in the United States, data migration/backup capabilities, availability of a mobile app for the platform and any training documents or service provided for new users and system updates.
Period of Performance
The RFI response deadline is May 31st, 2024. If necessary, presentations by respondents will take place between June 24th to July 12th in Nashville or via online web conferencing. The contract term preferred by the organization will be specified in the itemized cost schedule provided by respondents.

The contract will be performed in Nashville, Tennessee or remotely if applicable.
