Williams-Brice Stadium West Stands Renovation

Background
The University of South Carolina is seeking to select a Construction Manager at Risk (CM-R) to provide comprehensive pre-construction and construction services for the Williams-Brice Stadium West Stands Renovation project. This project aims to enhance the stadium's fan amenities and overall experience, aligning with the university's mission to improve its facilities for sporting events.

Work Details
The project involves the demolition, reconstruction, and expansion of approximately 200,000 to 250,000 square feet of fan amenity space primarily on the west side of the stadium. Key objectives include creating upgraded premium club and suite options with improved vertical circulation.

Work will occur at various levels including the 100 and 200 elevated levels, as well as in the west lower bowl seating and ground level areas. Facilities at the north endzone will also be upgraded. The work is expected to be phased, with some activities taking place between the 2025/2026 football seasons and others between the 2026/2027 seasons.

The selected firm will provide a range of services including schedule reviews, value engineering, prequalification of trade subcontractors, administration of contracts, project coordination at a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), and development of a Construction Master Schedule. The firm will also manage all trade contracts, subcontracts, shop drawings, change orders, punch lists, and Owner Furnished Equipment.

Period of Performance
The first phase of work is desired to start following the 2025 football season with completion before the 2026 football season. The second phase is anticipated to occur between the 2026 and 2027 football seasons.

The project will be performed at Williams-Brice Stadium located at 1000 George Rogers Boulevard, Columbia, SC 29208.
