Clemson University seeks an experienced supplier to provide water purification equipment as outlined in the attached Specifications or Scope of Work under the "Attachments" section. All submissions must be made online. No red lines to the contract will be accepted during the submission process. If there are terms you cannot agree to or wish to have changed. In that case, you must request that by submitting a question or request for modification to the scope to the Procurement Officer during the Deadlines for Question process, and Clemson will consider changes. However, to ensure all offerors offer the same scope, red lines or caveats included in your submission may make your offer non-responsive and unable to be considered. You are highly encouraged to submit your bid prior to the closing date.
Background
Clemson University is seeking bids to supply, install, and test a deionized (DI) Water Purification System at the South Carolina Water Resources Center. The goal of this contract is to provide high-quality water purification equipment that meets specific laboratory standards and requirements. The university aims to ensure that the selected supplier has the necessary experience and qualifications to deliver a system compliant with Certified Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP).

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing a complete DI Water Purification System, including installation and testing. Key components include:

1. Equipment capable of producing Type 2 and Type 3 reagent-grade water, including:
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
- Recirculating pump
- Point-of-use portable polishers
- Recirculating pure-water faucet

2. Performance requirements:
- System flow rate: 40 liters/hour; maximum 800 liters per day.
- RO Water Piping: 100 psig unless otherwise indicated.

3. Initial pretreatment systems including filter units with time-clock control valves and backwashing filters.

4. Final pretreatment systems with activated carbon cartridges and depth filtration.

5. A purified-water storage tank with a capacity of 500 liters, constructed from linear PE with specific design features for safety and efficiency.

6. Installation must comply with all relevant codes and standards, including documentation of installation per manufacturer’s recommendations.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the final purchase order.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the South Carolina Water Resources Center, Clemson University.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience with cGLP-compliant laboratory water purification systems. The successful offeror must also provide evidence of required insurance coverage and licenses prior to performance. Registration as an active supplier in Clemson University's buyWays system is mandatory.
