Spartanburg Area MHC Janitorial

Background
The South Carolina Department of Mental Health is issuing this solicitation for janitorial services across four locations in the Spartanburg area. The goal is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in facilities that serve mental health clients, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. The contract will be awarded to a qualified contractor who can meet the specified requirements and provide reliable service.

Work Details
The contractor will provide janitorial services at the following locations:

- Spartanburg Area Mental Health (250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303)
- Eubanks – Peer Center (358-B Serpentine Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303)
- Cherokee Mental Health (133 Wilmac Road, Gaffney, SC 29341)
- Union Mental Health (130 Medical Sciences Drive, Union, SC 29379)

Services include:
- Daily cleaning of restrooms: disinfecting toilets and sinks, cleaning mirrors, emptying trash, refilling paper products.
- Daily cleaning of the facility: sweeping/vacuuming floors, disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash in all areas.
- Weekly vacuuming of carpets and dusting/wiping surfaces.
- Monthly cleaning of frames and appliances.
- Quarterly cleaning of baseboards and scrubbing ceramic floors.
- Emergency janitorial services within one hour of request for incidents such as bodily fluids cleanup.

The contractor must supply all necessary cleaning supplies except for paper products provided by the center. All employees must wear ID badges while on site and adhere to safety protocols including background checks.

Period of Performance
The contract period is estimated to begin on October 17, 2024, and end on October 16, 2029.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at four locations in South Carolina:

- Spartanburg Area Mental Health at 250 Dewey Avenue
- Eubanks – Peer Center at 358-B Serpentine Drive in Spartanburg
- Cherokee Mental Health at 133 Wilmac Road in Gaffney
- Union Mental Health at 130 Medical Sciences Drive in Union.
