Background
Florence 1 Schools is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide research-based professional development leading to Gifted & Talented (GT) teacher endorsement and/or licensure for K–12 educators. The goal of this contract is to enhance educators' capacity to effectively integrate digital learning, instructional technology, and artificial intelligence (AI) in K–12 classrooms, ultimately improving student engagement and learning outcomes.
Work Details
The contractor will provide professional development services that include:
- Training for up to 50 participants per session on integrating instructional technology into K–12 teaching practices.
- Building educator capacity to enhance instruction using digital tools.
- Supporting the implementation of blended and/or digital learning models.
- Providing strategies for increasing student engagement through technology-rich practices.
- Assisting educators in selecting appropriate digital tools aligned with instructional goals.
- Strengthening the ability to use digital platforms for formative assessment and feedback.
- Offering guidance on creating and curating digital instructional content.
- Addressing equitable access and responsible use of technology for diverse learners, including multilingual learners.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is one year, with the possibility of up to four additional one-year renewals based on vendor performance and annual appropriation of funds.

The services will be performed at Florence 1 Schools located at 319 S. Irby St., Florence, SC 29501.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be properly licensed and qualified to provide the services outlined in the solicitation. They must comply with the South Carolina Illegal Immigration Reform Act and certify that they are not listed on the State Treasurer’s list of persons or entities engaged in investment activities in Iran.
