Background
Florence 1 Schools is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide research-based professional development focused on the effective integration of digital learning, instructional technology, and artificial intelligence (AI) in K–12 classrooms.
The goal of this contract is to strengthen educators' capacity to use digital tools and AI responsibly and effectively to enhance instruction, increase student engagement, and improve learning outcomes.
Work Details
The contractor will provide professional development services for up to 50 participants per session. The training will include:
- Building educator capacity to integrate digital tools
- Supporting blended/digital learning models
- Providing strategies for increasing student engagement
- Assisting educators in selecting appropriate digital tools
- Strengthening the ability to use digital platforms for assessment
- Guidance on creating digital content
- Supporting classroom management in tech-rich environments
- Addressing equitable access and responsible use of technology.
Participants will develop skills in instructional technology integration, differentiation, personalized learning, formative assessment practices, managing digital classrooms, and promoting responsible technology use. The contractor must ensure all training content aligns with current best practices in educational technology integration and provide any necessary resources for implementation.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is one (1) year with the option for up to four (4) additional one-year renewals, subject to vendor performance and annual appropriation of funds.
Place of Performance
Florence 1 Schools, located at 319 S. Irby St., Florence, SC 29501.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be properly licensed and qualified. They must comply with the South Carolina Illegal Immigration Reform Act and certify that they are not listed on the State Treasurer's list of persons engaged in investment activities in Iran. Additionally, vendors must provide references from up to three recent clients.
