PRE-QUALIFICATION Close Hipp Building Roof

Background
The University of South Carolina (USC) is seeking qualified Roofing Contractors for the Close-Hipp Building Roof Replacement project. The agency's mission includes maintaining and improving its facilities, and this contract aims to ensure the integrity and functionality of the Close-Hipp Building's roof. Small and Minority Business participation is highly encouraged.

Work Details
The project involves comprehensive roof replacement services, including:

- Total removal of all existing roof systems down to the structural deck for Roof Areas A, A1, A2, A3, B, C, D, and E (approximately 395 squares).
- Minor deck repairs.
- Rough carpentry.
- Roof insulation (including taper).
- Installation of a two-ply modified bitumen roof system.

All associated sheet metal components and accessories are included. An alternate option includes a three-ply modified bitumen roof system instead of the two-ply. Specifications require a minimum 5-year contractor warranty and a 20-year manufacturer warranty.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Close-Hipp Building located at 1705 College Street, Columbia, SC 29208.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be properly licensed according to Title 40 of the SC Code of Laws. They must also complete a Contractor's Statement of Qualifications & Questionnaire to be considered for prequalification. Written statements from bonding agents and insurance companies indicating capability to provide required amounts are necessary. Small or minority business certifications are encouraged.
