Padmount Transformers

Background
Clemson University is seeking a supplier to provide padmount transformers as part of their infrastructure needs. The goal of this contract is to ensure the university has reliable and efficient electrical transformers that meet specific operational requirements. The solicitation has been extended to allow for increased competition among suppliers.

Work Details
The contractor will furnish labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to design, manufacture, fabricate, test, and deliver padmount transformers suitable for operation on a 12,470-volt line-to-line, 3-phase, 4-wire system. Specific requirements include:
- Transformers must comply with ANSI C57.12.13 and IEEE C57.12.34 standards.
- Insulating liquid must be less flammable and biodegradable.
- Transformers should have a basic impulse level of 95 kV and insulation temperature rise of 65ºC at rated kVA output in a 40ºC ambient temperature.
- Delivery must be made FOB to Clemson University in Clemson, SC.
- Required submittals with the bid include product data sheets, shop drawings, and evidence of compliance with specifications.

The contract will be performed upon award and is expected to be completed within the timeframe specified in the bid submission process.
