Mowing Services and Maintenance for River District

Background
The University of South Carolina is seeking quotes from qualified contractors to furnish mowing services for the levee located at the USC River District Property. The agency's mission is to maintain the integrity and accessibility of the levee system, which is crucial for flood control along the Congaree River. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the levee is properly maintained through regular mowing services.

Work Details
The contractor must furnish all labor and materials necessary to provide mowing services for the identified property located between National Guard Road and South Beltline Blvd in Richland County. The levee is 1.4 miles long and is an earthen-built levee system. Services include:

- Cutting the levee at a height of 3 inches
- Bush hog/slope mowing of the levee crown, landside slope, and waterside slope
- Maintaining a 15-foot-wide clearance along both sides of the levee for future access

The contractor will provide all machinery, labor, supplies, and materials needed to perform these services. A list of equipment, a mowing plan, and descriptions of previous experience with similar work must be submitted.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance for this contract is from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026. Mowing services are expected approximately every ten to twelve weeks during the growing season from March 1st to November 30th.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the USC River District Property located between National Guard Road and South Beltline Blvd in Richland County, South Carolina.
