Florence 1 Schools is seeking proposals for a supplemental AI-powered math instructional platform aimed at enhancing instruction and intervention for grades K-12, serving approximately 16,000 students. The goal is to support the district's core math curriculum without replacing it. Work Details
The selected platform must meet several minimum mandatory requirements:
- Align with South Carolina College and Career Ready Standards for Mathematics.
- Enhance student performance on SC state assessments.
- Provide AI-powered analytics to identify student misconceptions and learning gaps.
- Enable visible problem-solving through multiple input methods.
- Support real-time insights for teachers.
Preference will be given to solutions that utilize AI to interpret student work, preserve student artifacts for instructional use, and have experience in South Carolina public school districts. The platform must be web-based, scalable for district-wide implementation, compatible with Chromebooks, integrated with Google Workspace for Education, support secure rostering and data privacy compliance (FERPA, COPPA), provide multilingual support, meet accessibility standards (WCAG compliance), allow content in multiple languages, enable students to show work within the platform, and auto-grade student submissions.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is one year with the possibility of up to four additional one-year renewals based on vendor performance and annual appropriation of funds.

The services will be performed at Florence 1 Schools located at 319 S. Irby St., Florence, SC 29501.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be properly licensed and demonstrate their ability to furnish the required products or services. They are required to comply with the South Carolina Illegal Immigration Reform Act and certify that they are not listed on the State Treasurer's list of entities engaged in investment activities in Iran. Additionally, vendors must provide references from up to three recent clients.
