Janitorial Services Strom Thurmond Wellness Center

Background
The University of South Carolina (USC) is seeking to establish a service provider for janitorial services at the Strom Thurmond Wellness Center. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the facility maintains a high standard of cleanliness in accordance with the requirements outlined in the solicitation.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, cleaning materials (chemicals and supplies), and equipment necessary to perform janitorial services. The services must meet the APPA Level 2 standard of cleanliness.

The contractor is expected to work collaboratively with USC Campus Recreation staff to maintain operational conditions within the facility. Specific tasks include cleaning common areas, restrooms, and other designated spaces during both operational and non-operational hours.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to start on August 1, 2025, and end on July 31, 2030, with an initial term of one year and four one-year options for renewal.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Strom Thurmond Wellness Center located at 1000 Blossom Street, Columbia, SC.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a USC User ID to submit offers online. They are encouraged to attend a pre-bid conference and site visit scheduled for May 29, 2025. Additionally, bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding ethics and debarment.
