Irrigation Systems Maintenance

Background
The City of Rock Hill, South Carolina, is seeking competitive bids from qualified companies to provide irrigation systems maintenance at City facilities. The Parks, Recreation, & Tourism Department is responsible for this project, which aims to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of irrigation systems across various city properties.

Work Details
The contractor will provide maintenance and required repairs on an as-needed basis at an hourly rate. Services include: spring startup, fall winterization, controller replacement, valve replacement, repair of drip lines, spray heads, rotor heads, broken lines & wires, and valves.

The contractor must have at least 5 years of experience in installing and maintaining irrigation systems and possess the necessary equipment for tasks such as boring under sidewalks. Specific product requirements include sprinkler heads manufactured by Hunter Industries or Rain Bird. All replacement parts must be equal to or better than the original manufacturer's specifications.

The contractor is also responsible for testing the system upon completion and providing a list of repairs and parts used.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is three years starting from July 1, 2026, with options for two one-year renewals if exercised.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various City facilities in Rock Hill, South Carolina including City Hall, Law Center, Fountain Park, and others as listed in the solicitation.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid City of Rock Hill Business License prior to executing the contract. They must comply with all applicable laws including the Illegal Immigration Reform Act and provide proof of insurance coverage including general liability and workers' compensation insurance.

Bidders should also not be debarred or suspended from participation in public contracts.
