Install LVP Flooring in Ladson DMV

Background
The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) is seeking to contract for the installation of luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring at their Ladson location. This project aims to enhance the facility's interior by replacing existing flooring with new, high-quality materials, thereby improving the overall environment for both employees and visitors. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to furnish and install approximately 3,700 square feet of Shaw Contract - Terrain II series 30 mil luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring over existing VCT flooring. The work includes:

1. Pre-Construction & Coordination: Conducting a site visit to verify conditions, coordinating schedules with SCDMV, and providing a detailed work plan.

2. Floor Preparation: Inspecting existing VCT flooring for suitability, cleaning and preparing the surface, removing or repairing damaged tiles, and leveling low areas.

3. LVP Installation: Installing the LVP according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper layout and transitions, and installing underlayment and trims as required.

4. Cove Base: Removing existing base where required and installing new cove base throughout all areas receiving new flooring.

5. Cleanup: Removing debris daily and cleaning the new flooring upon completion. All work must be completed within a single continuous one-week period, beginning Sunday and concluding the following Sunday.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance is from April 2, 2026, to June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles located at 135 Wimberly Dr., Ladson, SC 29456.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a state vendor number to submit an offer. They are also required to comply with insurance requirements including Commercial General Liability coverage of at least $1 million per occurrence, Auto Liability coverage of at least $1 million per accident, and Worker’s Compensation insurance as required by South Carolina law.
