Health and Human Services Roof Replacement

Background
Dorchester County is seeking qualified firms to submit bids for the Health and Human Services Roof Replacement Project. The project aims to replace the roofing of the Health and Human Services facility, ensuring it meets current standards and provides adequate protection against the elements.

The Design Professional of Record for this project is Joe Baker, PE, RBEC, RRO, CDT from WM Building Envelope Consultants, LLC.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the roof replacement of Areas A, B, C, D, E, and F of the facility. This includes approximately 488 squares of low-slope roofing down to the existing roof deck.

The work encompasses roof deck repairs, installation of an insulation system, a thermoplastic single-ply roof system, sheet metal components and accessories, and all other incidentals as detailed in the Contract Documents. Additionally, a sample Asbestos-Free Warranty form must be included with the successful bidder's project close-out documents.

Period of Performance
The contractor must achieve substantial completion within ninety (90) calendar days from the date of commencement established in a Notice to Proceed. Final completion must occur within thirty (30) calendar days after substantial completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Health and Human Services facility located at 1452 Boone Hill Road, Summerville, SC 29483.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be properly licensed under South Carolina laws governing their respective trades. They are required to provide performance and payment bonds amounting to 100% of the total contract value.

Any bid over $25,000 must include a bid bond or certified check as security. Bidders are also required to comply with insurance requirements including general liability coverage with minimum limits specified.
