Furnish And Install Long Term Care Beds

Background
The South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs, through the State Fiscal Accountability Authority's Division of Procurement Services, is seeking bids from qualified vendors to furnish and install long-term care hospital beds. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of care for veterans residing in state facilities by providing modern and efficient hospital beds. The contract will involve the delivery and installation of new beds as well as the removal and disposal of existing equipment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, vehicles, equipment, freight, and any other incidental charges necessary for the delivery and installation of long-term care hospital beds at three locations: Richard M Campbell Veterans Home (Anderson, SC), Veterans Victory House (Walterboro, SC), and E. Roy Stone Veterans Pavilion (Columbia, SC). Specific requirements include:

1. **Long-Term Care Hospital Beds**:
- Model: Joerns Healthcare EasyCare® Adjustable Height Bed (Model # E6T10013S_0SG000) or equivalent.
- Quantities: 220 each for Richard M Campbell Veterans Home; 220 each for Veterans Victory House; 20 each for E. Roy Stone Veterans Pavilion.
- Features include a weight capacity of 600 lbs, adjustable height from 7 in to 30 in, locking casters, self-leveling motors, and various safety features.

2. **Assist Handles**:
- Quantity: 440 each for Richard M Campbell Veterans Home; 440 each for Veterans Victory House; 40 each for E. Roy Stone Veterans Pavilion.
- Must be compatible with EasyCare® beds or equivalent.

3. **Laminate Panels**:
- Quantity: 220 each for Richard M Campbell Veterans Home; 220 each for Veterans Victory House; 20 each for E. Roy Stone Veterans Pavilion.
- Must be compatible with EasyCare® beds (2014 or newer).

4. **Mattresses**:
- Model: PrevaMatt Console Mattress with a capacity of 500 lbs.
- Quantities: Same as above for beds.

The contractor is responsible for delivering materials in OEM unopened containers and ensuring all products meet specified requirements.

Period of Performance
The work associated with this contract is estimated to take no more than four months from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at three locations in South Carolina: Richard M Campbell Veterans Home (Anderson), Veterans Victory House (Walterboro), and E. Roy Stone Veterans Pavilion (Columbia).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a valid South Carolina vendor number to submit an offer. Registration can take up to 30 days. The contractor must ensure that all staff involved are fully trained to service and install bed products as specified.
