Architectural Design Services for Renovations and Minor Vertical Construction

Background
The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking qualified architectural firms to provide on-call general design services for renovations and minor vertical construction projects. This initiative aims to enhance the Town's infrastructure and facilities over a five-year period, supporting the Town's mission to maintain and improve community resources.

Work Details
The selected firm will provide as-needed general design services for Town renovation and minor vertical construction projects, typically valued under $500,000. Specific services include:

- Feasibility studies
- Facilities master plans
- Programming and advanced planning
- Design and 3D visualization
- Building information modeling (BIM)
- Interiors and design standards
- Renovations and upfits
- New construction
- Construction administration
- Assistance with preparing AIA documents
- Preconstruction services

Advisory services may also be required to critique designs or proposals prepared by others.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for a period of five years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the Town of Hilton Head Island.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must be currently licensed in the State of South Carolina. The Town encourages participation from disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs) and requires proof of current certification from a governmental entity at the time of submission. Additionally, contractors must maintain appropriate levels of insurance including $1 million in general liability insurance and $1 million in professional liability insurance.
