4 Year On Call Tree Removal Richland

Background
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking contractors for a 4-Year On-Call Tree Removal Services contract in Richland County. The goal of this contract is to provide tree removal services within or near the right-of-way limits on SCDOT maintained roads and routes. This initiative aims to ensure the safety and maintenance of roadways by managing vegetation effectively.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for various tree removal activities, which may include cutting and leaving, cutting and removing, and cutting, removing, and stump grinding as directed by the Resident Maintenance Engineer (RME) or designee.

Key requirements include:
1. Providing all necessary implements, machinery, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, labor, licenses, bonding, fuel, and work zone traffic control.
2. Preserving existing vegetation not designated for removal.
3. Protecting existing improvements within the work site such as signs and drainage structures.
4. Ensuring proper disposal of debris at approved sites and obtaining necessary permits.
5. Providing personnel with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
6. Maintaining clean work sites free from debris during service.
7. Filling holes caused by tree removal without additional cost to the state.
8. Adhering to safety regulations as per OSHA standards.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance for this contract is from May 20, 2026, to May 19, 2030.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within or near the right-of-way limits on SCDOT maintained roads and routes in Richland County, South Carolina.
