Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Looms Way:
- Cut and remove damaged curbing (10 LF). If the dirt base is soft, remove subgrade until a solid foundation is found. Fill and compact with rock.
- Total Asphalt Replacement: Remove existing asphalt pavement to a depth of 10” (980 SY), provide and compact a 6” aggregate base course, pave with 2” intermediate course asphalt and 2” surface course asphalt (980 SY).
2. Calhoun Street:
- Cut and remove damaged curbing (45 LF). If the dirt base is soft, remove subgrade until a solid foundation is found. Fill and compact with rock.
- Total Asphalt Replacement: Remove existing asphalt pavement to a depth of 10” (1172 SY), provide and compact a 6” aggregate base course, pave with 2” intermediate course asphalt and 2” surface course asphalt (1172 SY).
- Sidewalk Repair: Cut and remove damaged sidewalk (4256 SF), haul off debris, pour removed areas, backfill around sidewalk.
3. Phillips Street:
- Total reconstruction: Remove existing asphalt pavement (895 SY) to a depth of 10”, provide and compact a 6” aggregate base course, pave with 2” intermediate course asphalt and 2” surface course asphalt for (895 SY).
4. Monroe White Street:
- Cut and remove damaged curbing; if the dirt base is soft, remove subgrade until a solid foundation is found. Fill and compact with rock. Pour back to existing curbing.
- Total Asphalt Replacement: Remove existing asphalt pavement totaling 2524 SY to a depth of 10”, provide and compact a 6” aggregate base course over 2524 SY, pave with 2” intermediate course asphalt and 2” surface course asphalt over 2524 SY.
- Sidewalk Repair: Remove approx. 5445 SF of existing concrete walkway; haul off debris; pour back approximately 5445 SF with new concrete (4”).
5. Pine Knoll Road:
- Provide traffic control for residents; milling at a depth of 6” on entire surface (2582 SY); roll subgrade; perform asphalt paving including a 3” base course Type B/C (2582 SY), a 2” intermediate course using SCDOT mix only (2582 SY), and a final surface course of 1.5” using SCDOT mix only (2582 SY). Clean up grade/ensure crown.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from the date of award until completion, anticipated by August 13, 2025.

The work will be performed in various locations throughout the Town of Fort Mill, South Carolina.
