Snow Plowing And Sanding

Background
The Rhode Island Lottery, part of the Department of Revenue, is seeking bids for snow plowing and sanding services to ensure safe access to its facilities during winter storms. The goal of this contract is to maintain clear and safe parking areas for employees and visitors, aligning with the agency's mission to provide efficient lottery services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide snow plowing and sanding services as follows:
- Snow plowing for various storm depths:
- Complete area for 2” to 5” per storm
- Complete area for 5” to 10” per storm
- Complete area for over 10” per storm
- Sand/salt application for icy conditions, defined as the main parking lot and gated lot areas.
Applications will be made at the request of the Lottery during weekdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Vendor discretion is allowed for nighttime and weekend applications. Pre-treatment applications are permitted after communication with the Lottery. The vendor must stake the plowing area before winter to prevent damage.
An adequate communication system between the vendor and the Lottery is mandatory, available 24/7 via phone, text, and email.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue throughout the winter season, with specific performance requirements outlined for each snowfall event.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Rhode Island Lottery facility located at 1425 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit an insurance certificate with their proposal that includes commercial general liability, commercial auto liability, and workers' compensation coverage. Additionally, bidders must confirm registration as a State vendor on the State Purchasing website. A mandatory site visit is required before submitting a proposal. Vendors must also provide three references along with their bid.
